Brother Gibson Boyett Moderator
1st invited brethren and sisters from sister churches of the 
faith and order of this church to seets with us
2nd  opened the dore for the reception of members
3rd called for acknowledgments
4th  called for references
5th  called for maters of gospel dealing
6th  called for miscellaneous business and went into the choice 
of a clerk by ballot to fill the vacancy of brother Jordan and 
chose brother Will Amos unanimously also took up the case of 
choosing one deacon and (?) for the same to our next conferance 
agreed that the 8th notice of our decorum stand as first framed 
and the rules of decorum be read at the same time by (request of?) 
brother Boyd.  we agree to release him from our service and went 
into choice of another supply by ballot and chose brother 
T. J. Gardner unanimously  Brother Gardner being present answered 
the church he will try to serve.  We set apart Friday before the 
4th Lord for the ordination and request brethren G. B. Driskil 
Dozier and W. T. Hayes to attend us as presbyters Brother Gardner 
Williams and Staggert to bear the letter

   3rd  Called for refferances and took up the referance of our 
   last conference relative to the ordination of brother Gardner 
   to the ministry & for want of a presbitery refered the same 
   to our next conference  Also took up the referance of our last 
   conference relative to the ordination of a deacon and refered 
   the same to our next conference and agreed to send for Brethren 
   Boyett, Hays, Long, Dozier and Briskil to visit us and ajoin 
   the ordination

Record of Deed

State of Alabama	Know all these presents that I Elizabeth Ganey 
Butler County	      of the county of Butler and state afforesaid 
for and in consideration of one dollar to me in hand paid by 
Wiley Jordan, Deacon of the Ivy Creek Baptist Church the receipt 
whereof I do hereby acknowledge do herein grant bargain sell in 
feoff and confirm unto the said Wiley Jordan and his successors 
as deacon of the Primitive baptist church of Ivy Creek for church 
and school purposes the following described land to wit:  Commencing 
at the north east corner turning two hundred yards west, thence due 
South to beaver branch thence down Beaver branch to the line thence 
North to the North east corner said land being a portion of the North 
East fourth of the southwest fourth of section No four 4 township 
No eight 8 of Range seventeen 17 containing t(word missing) acres more 
or less lying and being in the county of Butler and embraced in the 
District of lands subject to entry at Greenville Alabama together with 
all and singular her? demands thereunto belonging or apertaining to 
have and to hold the affore granted land to the said Wiley Jordan and 
his successors as deacon of said Ivy Creek church and where?of soever? 
and do covenant with said Wiley Jordan and his successors as deacon of 
said church that I am lawfully sei(zed?) in feeoff the affore granted 
premises ? they are free from any encumberance

and that I have a good right to sell and convey the same to the said 
Wiley Jordan and his successors as Deacon of said Ivy Creek church and 
that I will and my heirs and assigns shall warrant and defend the said 
premises to the said Wiley Jordan and his successors as Deacon of Ivy 
Creek church forever against the lawful claims and demands of all persons 
in witness whereoff (sic) I the said Elizabeth Ganey have hereunto set my 
hand and seal this the 23rd? day of July 1851?/59?.

Butler County	     said county hereby certify that Elizabeth Ganey whose name 
is signed to the foregoing conveyance and who is known to me acknowledged 
before me on this day after being informed of the contents of the conveyance 
she executed the same whereby on the day the same bears date given under my 
hand this 23rd? day of July 1851?/59?

conference relative to the ordination of brother T.J. Gardner to 
the ministry and brethren Boyett Long and Driskil being present 
proceeded to the ordination by the imposition of hands and prayer

Burk as deacon the same presbitors being present proseeded by the 
imposition of hands and prayer

We will not hold in fellowship any church that holds any 
member in her that is a member of any of the following

Missionary Societies Bible Societies Sunday School union

Neither will we hold any church in fellowship that will hold 
any member in her that belongs to the Masonic fraternity Odd 
Fellows Sons of Temperance or any other secret institution 
that does now or may here after exist or any church receiving 
members from the Missionary boddy without baptism.

Minutes of the General Meeting
The union meeting met at Ivy of the 4 District 
of the Conecuh River Association met and the introductory sermon 
was delivered by Elder Daniel Dozier from the 14 chapter of John 
and 272 piece I leave with you my piece I give unto you not as the 
world give unto you let not your hearts be troubled you believe in 
god believe also in me after 30 minutes recess the delegates 
repaired to the house and proceeded to business
1st  Appointed Br D. Dosier, Moderator & E. M. Amos Clerk
2nd  Invited visiting brethren in the ministry to seets with us
3rd  Read letters from 7 churches
4th  Offered opertunity to churches of our order to attach 
themselves to this boddy
5th  called for correspondents
6th  Resolved that the next cession of our boddy convene with the 
church at New Providence Pike County Ala on Saturday before the 
last lords day in July 1863
7th  Appointed the following committee to arrange preaching 
during the meeting M. Wells J. G. Curington J Carter A Cook 
J. T. Dees & G. W. King together with the delegates of this church.  
The delegates report S Long & T. J. Gardner preach into the forenoon 
in the order of their names & brethren Norris and Boyett in the 
afternoon on Sabbath brethren Medley & Dosier in the forenoon &

Association with the church at Ivy Creek on Friday before the 
last Sunday in July 1869.
The meeting was organised with prayer by Br. D. Dozier moderator

from the 3rd district 
1st  proceded to read the corresponding letter 
letters from eight churches
2nd  appointed by nomination Br D. Dozier moderator, and James

3rd Appointed committee to arrange preaching for which purpose we
