Dear Sister

I have just written to Essie and told her about all I know to tell but must acknowledge the receipt of your letter also.  I guess you are very busy now getting ready for the wedding how I wish I was there to help you but such is life may be it wont be so always.  I expect to see Texas some day.  We are all anticipating quite a merry Xmas and I Sincerely hope that nothing will happen to blight our fondest anticipations the thought of seeing Brother once more has filled me with through and through (sic).  I have been very successful since I came

here have had all the work I could do and get the money for every piece.  If I could get Papa and Mama to come here I could make a support for them so much easier than I can at home and then too we have such good society here and such nice kind neighbors.  I never met people whom I liked more.  Sis Minnie is always busy in the schoolroom but I don't get lonely I'm always busy and then there is someone busy passing all the time and thats company for me.  Last Sunday the day (sic) with Mrs Moody one of our neighbors and Oh! such a nice dinner as she did give us we had an invitation to dine out yesterday and another today but could not accept either.  I would like

Sunday Evening
Well Ive just been out and eaten a good dinner and now I feel a little more like writing.  Yesterday evening we were invited to assist in decorating the School room for our concert next Thursday night.  We had a very pleasant evening I met Several ladies that I had not met before and I found them all so pleasant and nice.  I heard from Bro Johns family last Friday they were all well.  How I wish I could see that sweet little old tot of yours.  We all thought she was the prettiest and sweetest child we ever saw when she was here and I know she must be still sweeter now
