I thought you would like to know he was in Lafayette Co MS on the 1850 census with his wife named PHOEBE age 43 bn TN and two children: Carolina C age 12 bn in MS. and a son LEVI age 10 bn in MS. The Waite aka Wate wife was his second wife. She was 30 years younger than Oxford. I have found him on several records during the 1850 - 1860 time period but he is gone by the 1860 census.
