A large crowd gathered at the Methodist Church Sunday afternoon to pay a final tribute to Seaman Bobby Dean Workman of the United States Navy. Rev. K.D. Moore had charge of the service.

Bobby, who was temporarily based at San Diego, was killed in a car accident, October 1, near Oceanside.

Bobby Dean Workman was born on July 6, 1930, and was 21 years, 2 months and 26 days of age at the time of his death. He had lived in Yuma 17 years and attended school here until enlisting in the Navy about four years ago. His ship took him to Alaskan waters for six months, and one year was spent near Japan and China and other islands of the Pacific.

He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Workman, three sisters, Audrey Jean Woods of Springfield, Oregon, Cecile Joan and Derry Ursula of Yuma, his grandmother, Mrs. W.E. Workman and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Olson of Miniature, Nebraska.
