Rawleigh Strader - I am looking to fill in some empty dates and places for my g-g-g grandparents and their parents. My g-g-g grandparents were: Rawleigh/Rawley/Rolly/Rolla STRADER, born in 1809 in Ky, died unknown date in Coles County, Ill. He was married 10 March 1831 in Coles County to Sarah H. "Sally" STEWART, born 29 July 1811 in Barren, Ky., died unknown date in Coles County. Sally's father was William H. Stewart, place+date of birth unknown, who died on unknown date in Illinois, presumably Coles County. Sally's mother was Dicey HANES/HAINES, place+date of birth unknown, who died on unknown date in Illinois, presumably Coles County. (I have heard there is a Stewart Cemetery somewhere in Coles County, but I don't know where.) There is a difference of opinion on who the parents are of Rawleigh Strader. There are two options I know about:
1) Vincent Strader (Sr.), born in 1782 in Kentucky or North Carolina, died 16 Aug. 1836 in Coles County. He was married in Coles County, date unknown, to Patience ?, place+date of birth unknown, who died in Coles County on date unknown.
2) Francis Strader (Jr.), born 1775 in Virginia, died 24 Oct. 1846 in Coles County. He was married on 24 May 1795 in Nelson Kentucky, to Susanna EASTER, born 1775 in Virginia, who also died 1846 in Coles County. Sally Stewart had two sisters who married brothers of her husband, Rawleigh: 1) Patience Stewart, born in 1813, was married in 1831 in Coles County to Vincent Strader (Jr.), also born in 1813. 2) Ruth Stewart, born in 1829, was married in 1846 in Coles County to James Strader, born in 1823.
