DEATH OF MRS. CLOTHILDE LAVERGNE

Mrs. Clothilde Domange LaVergne, age 35, died Friday,
January 27th, at her home in Branch.
Funeral services were held from St. John’s Catholic church
in Rayne, interment following in the Rayne cemetery. Mrs. LaVergne is survived
by her husband, John LaVergne, and two step-daughters, Mrs. Ore Trahan and Miss
Donadeaux LaVergne, one step-son Aristille LaVergne, five brothers and seven
sisters.
This is the 12th death in the LaVergne family in
18 years, Mr. LaVergne having lost his first and second wives and 10 children.
The Farmer’s Hardware & Implement Co., of Rayne had
charge of funeral arrangements.
