Materials available there include a vast collection of old Union Parish photographs as well as transcriptions of numerous original Union Parish records such as Bibles, probate index, marriage index, court records, church records, old newspapers, old letters, cemeteries, and obituaries. For statewide or national archives resources, visit the Louisiana USGenWeb Archives or the USGenWeb Archives Project:

The photographs at the top were taken in late October 2009 after record-breaking rains dumped more than 20 inches of rain on the Ouachita Valley region, flooding homes and roads in Union Parish. The photos show the flood waters at the Lake D'Arbonne Spillway. The lake (to the right) is ordinarily much higher than the bayou (to the left), but the flood waters made the bayou at the same level as the lake. Thanks to Mr. Scott Beder, editor of the Farmerville "Gazette", for sharing these photographs.
