Hello Researchers
The Broome County GenWeb-Early Families system is growing by leaps and bounds. I've decided to create this page to inform interested users of just how much we are adding every month.
In the month of May, Marlea and I added 30 pages, making the total number 870, up from 840 at the end of the prior month. This figure does not include any artwork or scans we added, because they are not counted in the indexing counters. This is based on the Freefind index; Picosearch does not support monthly reports.
On average, there were 91 visitors to the site, with the largest number being 121 on the 31st. In January, before Marlea and I joined forces, that number was 76. (Marlea's site did not exist at this time; the data is for the GenWeb site only). These visitors submitted an average of 44 searches every day to the FreeFind system. Again, Picosearch does not support that kind of reporting.
The auto notify function has proved to be a major success. It's hard to tell how many of these are duplicates, but on recent updates, 26 people were sent change notices from the Early Families site and 70 people were sent updates from the GenWeb site.
If these trends continue, we will be well over 1000 pages by the end of the year and over 100 users a day.
