Dear Brother

your letter of the 23. was received yesterday after noon also the stamps and pen and am very mutch obliged to you for the trouble of sending it I am glad to here that you are so healthy and young I hope that you may always feal as well as you do now I have never been healthier than I am at present how long it will last I know not. Thare is nothing of consequence going on here now I saw Robert Becker yesterday. he is in the 7 C.T. they have been of drilling on small boats for the pupos of chargeing sutch Forts as Sumter thare is men in his Co that was acquainted with Alva. he was wounded on Moris Island the second charge that was made on Wagoner was tken to Hilton Head and after wards died or at leas they say so. Robbert looks as he always did. this letter that I send i want you to send to Ebin pleas (dired?) it and mail it, the penn is a very good one onely it is prity stiff and wants using a good while untile it gets worn smooth. Tou will see that thare is something the matter with teh pen or the one that is useing it. I will write more next time so excuse this half sheat and new pen (?) from your Brother U.T.Wooster
