Dear Brother

I received your letter yesterday after Noon I was very glad to hear that you was well I am gitting better fast now. I feal as well as ever I did. but I hav not got the strength yet. I also received a letter from Mary the 27 and one from Laura about the same time Merritte is in the Hospital to Beaufort S.C. sick she sed Alva wrote that he was not dangerous. I shall hav to send Nancy a stick of Candy or something I now not what for I hav received 3 letters from her in a short time those two letters you send me in reguard to takeing cair of the sick must be to Washington or to the Regt. for I hav not got them if I had none that you wanted to got into sutch businefs when I was in Washington. I could found you a plce in 5 (?) minutes for they wanted Nurses very bad at that time. I think than (?) thare would not be eny trouble in finding buisnefs anough of that kind thare now. I am sure thare would not be after a larg battle. they have bin enlisting Nurses here dureing the last two weeks I do not now but they hav got all they want but I will find out in a day or two if they want eny more in Philladelphia if they do I will let you now write a way I can tell you it is not easy work. I tuck it in Washington a few days but could not stand it if I could I should bin doing that businefs now.Nancy ses that the Boys ware mad becaus Judd went back he will have now fewer in C. G. after this he got well to quick I understand that he is aging to take Seriut (?) Colonel Rabies flase (?) I presume the promotion made him sick if he had stade in the Co. till he was promoted it would hav bin all write but as it is the Coat (?) will not fit all around. I doant think i hav just sean Steward Burg he ses that he thinks you could get in as Nurse all most eny time but I shall have to see Doct. Heing (?) to find out whether thar is eny more wanting at presant or not his office is in Town. I will Come home and see you if I can git a furlow.
