I sent you a letter when the Box came and sent Thomas a receipt in part payment of Note I never gave a receipt in that way before but I presume it is just as good if it is not send me the amount of one of the notes in your next and I will send him annother receipt, for I have forgotten how mutch eny of the notes ar that I teh(?) reason why I sent him sutch a receipt as I did We will have things write if I am a Solders away from home if we can. I did not have to pay eny more exprefs on the Box. I was glad to here from Father once more for that i thought that i had no Father alwing now, I am sorry to here that he wants the Rebs to have their independance but perhaps he is situated so that he is obliged to write in that way. at least I must think so for I never want to meet him thinking that he is a SeCesh (?) at hart. our Division is now detached from the 9 Corps and we have drawn A.Tents the Boys are puting them to day; so I think We shall stop here a while I would like to write some more but they want me to the guardhous write a way my dinner is yet tobe eat so I must stop good buy
