Dear Brother I presume I shall not have the privlage of hering from you agane in some time so I will send you a few lines too let you know whare I am an what I am about our regt has gone too Yorktown we know not when they will come back prehapse not attall. i am left here too (?) take care of the Regimental stuff and the other Boys will see some fighting with out doubt (?) Richmond I shall not redeive any letters ubtill I git too the regt or until they come back I have not mutch news (?) write (?) the Regt comes back i will write agane
