Queries to be entered to the GenWeb system must follow the following guidelines:

1. There MUST be a connection to the county. If this is not stated, the query will not be posted until such time that I can contact you for that information. If there IS no connection, the query will not be added to the site.
2. Queries will not be posted concerning possibly living people, except for adoption related queries for the lost soul section.
3. All queries must have a current e-mail address.
4. Queries must be supported. (Mail answered and help given). If either of the above 2 conditions do not apply, the query may be removed to a "dead letter file".

All entries may be edited for content on the final version for the NYGenWeb site. Basic sentence structure will not be, however. Except to limit size and/or spelling (Binghampton used for Binghamton, etc), most edits should be superficial.

Entries can remain on the BeSeen entry boards for only a limited amount of time and will be removed automatically after 30 days. By that time, they should be entered into the GenWeb site's query section.
