In the Name of God, Amen

I William C. Glenn of Union District and state of South Carolina, do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament

Item 1 &endash; I give my daughter Lucy, one Negro girl named Hanah that Samuel Ivy has sold.

Item 2nd I desire that the Negroes I gave Achilles Bowker and my Daughter Lucy after their Marriage namely David, Rachel and Tempy and their increase be divided between my Daughter Lucy and her child Elizabeath W. G. A. Bowker according to law.

Item 3rd I give my grand Daughter E. W. G. A. Bowker one Negro named Moses at the death of my Wife provided nevertheless if my grand daughter E. W. G. A. Bowker should die without Lawfull Children then her property is to revert back to my Estate & be divided as herein after mentioned.

Item 4th I give my Son in Law Nathan Coleman all the Negroes he bought with my money, and Phillis, and one bed and furniture and other articles which I have delivered him.

Item 5th I give my Son in Law James Mayes the following Negroes namely Moses, Anna, Alce, and their increase and the money I have delivered him say four hundred and fifty dollars, One bed, One horse and Saddle, One Cow and Calf, Two Sheep, One beaureu and other articles that I have delivered him.

Item 6th I disire that my daughter Patsey should have the first Choice of two of my negroes beginning at the age of Lizy and Jim, also I desire that my son Nathan should have choice of the next two in succession, Also I desire My Son William W should have choice of the next two in succession, Also I desire my Daughter Sarah C should have choice of the next two in succession

And I further desire that my above named Children should take Choice of two more Negroes each in the manna above stated which will make them four Negroes each which I give them provided nevertheless if they should die without Lawfull Children that their Negroes do revert back to my Estate and be equally divided between Elizabeath Coleman's Children, James Mays, Patsey Glenn, Nathan Glenn, William W. Glenn, Sarah C. Glenn, Thomas A. Glenn and Jane. S. C. Glenn. (Commas and Periods are difficult to read)

Item 7th I desire that my son Thomas A. and Jane S. C. should have negroes and money to make them equal with my daughter Sarah. C. Lot which I give them when they arrive at a Lawfull age or marry if they do neither then I desire that their lot should revert back to my Estate and be divided as in the above clause.

Item 8th I further desire that my children Patsy, Nathan, William W., Sarah C., Thomas A., and Jane S. C. should have such articles as I have given James Mayes, or money to purchase them.

Item 9th I give my wife Elizabeath Glenn one Negro girl, Charity, and one brown Man (Mare?) with a blaze face to dispose of as she may think proper and I disire that my Wife be and remain in the peacible posession of my Mill and Tract of Land Lying on both sides of Tyger river butting and bounding by Lands of Henry Hardy, Nathan Hawkins, John & William P Sartor, Richard Teagle, Hawker Selby, Estate of David Prewit, Estate of Elijah Anderson, John Rogers and Darby ? Land and the following Negroes Namely John Rogers and Darby ? Land and the following Negroes Namely Gilbert, Agg Dice, Joe, John, Bill and George, and all the Stock at the Mill and Plantation and all of my house hold and Kitchen furniture after making my Children herein mentioned in this Clause equal with James Mayes. Let during her natural life and at her death to be equally divided between my daughter Elizabeth Coleman, Children James Mayes, Patsey Glenn, Nathan Glenn, William W. Glenn, Sarah C. Glenn, Thomas a. Glenn and Jane S. C. Glenn.

Item 10th I give my tract of Land bought of Samuel Atterson to my three sons Nathan, William W., and Thomas A. Glenns equally.

Item 11th I give the tract of Land whereon I now live to Elizabeath Coleman's Children, James Mays and My daughters Patsey, Sarah C., and Jane S. C. Glenns equally and the residue and remainder of my property I give to the Legatees mentioned in this Clause equally, and if any of my children or Legatees dies without lawful Children then I desire there negroes do revert back to my Estate and be divided as in Clause the sixth.

Lastly provided never the less that if any person or any of my legatees should dispute or raise any serious contention or bring any suit at Law, or Equity against my Executors, my desire is that they shall have but fifty cents of my Estate and their legacy to be equally divided among the possible legatees. I appoint my sons Nathan, William W. and Thomas Glenns Executors to this my last will and Testament
