In the name of God amen

I Jerimah Hamilton of Union District and state of South Carolina, being of sound mind and memory and considering the uncertainty of human affairs do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following (Viz)

Item I (this next line was crossed out in his will and rewritten - - - give and bequeath unto my son William Hamilton the Tract of Land on which he now lives)

I give and bequeath to My three sons William, Joseph & Hampton, all my real estate consisting of three surveys all Joining & forming one tract to equally divided amongst them,

Item It is my will that my executors or administrators - - Value my Land so as to enable them to make an equal division of all my property between my sons & daughters.

Item I leave & bequeath unto my Loving wife& endash; one Negro girl named Henrietta, likewise one Negro boy named Tom, likewise one feather Bed & Covering ----Likewise three cows& calves &endash; to be chosen by herself ----

Item I give and bequeath to my daughter the Residue of my Negroes to be equally divided amongst -- them until they by --- four Valuation amount to as much as my lands &endash; after which they shall be equally divided amongst &endash; the whole of my children --- my wife having an equal part during her Natural life or Widowhood

Item It is my desire that my wife have one of my best work house(horses).

Item I give unto my son Hampton likewise, My young fill with a feather bed & furniture &endash; I give unto my Daughter R Legg one featherbed & furniture together with one cow and calf ---

Having done, I bequeath my soul to hear in & my body to the grave.

It is my will the Capt Bernard Glenn & Geo D Phillipi set as my executors & my wife executrix ----amen.
