Fort Worth Star-Telegram (TX) - March 6, 1999 Deceased Name: Virginia Flanary Keith FORT WORTH - Virginia Flanary Keith, 80, a homemaker, died Tuesday, March 2, 1999. Funeral: was at 1 p.m. Friday in Independence Chapel at Greenwood Mausoleum. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park. Virginia Flanary Keith was born Sept. 21, 1918, in Cooper, Delta County, Texas. Ginger to her friends, Gran to her family and loved ones, she went home to our Lord on March 2, 1999, after a long struggle with congestive heart failure. She died comfortably in the home of her daughter, Kara "Susi" Keith-Rabb, with her husband of 58 years, Chester "Po" Keith, at her side. Ginger and Chester Keith came to Fort Worth in 1940, to make their home and raise a family. In 1976, they moved from Fort Worth to Sierra Vista, Ariz., where they lived 20 years. In 1996, they returned home to Texas, to reunite with family and friends. Gran was attended and nursed for several years by Dr. Paul Goldman, M.D., Home and Community Medical Services, and in the final days, by Vitas. She loved her nurses Joy, Diane, Cindy and "the Amys." Attending to her needs were also her precious aides, Debbie, Clint, Millie, Annette, Vickie and Donita. The family wishes to express special gratitude to Peggy Valcik, R.N., and Margaret Roberson, L.V.N., from Home and Community Health Services and to Janet Burton, L.V.N., and Pam Loyd, R.N., from Vitas. Survivors: Her adoring grandson and his wife, Mr.and Mrs. Keith Pierce Rabb of Lafayette, La.; her loving former son-in-law, Craig Pierce Rabb; and sister, Thelma "T-Ma" Flanary.
