ELLSWORTH (Special) - Funeral Services were Friday at 1:30 p.m. from Bethel Reformed Church for Folkert F. Kuper, 85, who died Jan. 28 at his home in rural Ellsworth. The Rev. F. Snuttjer, pastor of Salem Reformed Church, Little Rock, Iowa, officiated. Interment was in the church cemetery.

Mr. Kuper was born Nov. 1, 1878 in Germany, the son of Mr. And Mrs. Folkert Kuper, coming to this country with his parents at the age of four years.

His mother died soon after reaching port at Baltimore, Md., and the father and eight children settled in Grundy County, Iowa, near Ackley, where Mr. Kuper grew to manhood.

He and Jennie Jutting were married Feb. 14, 1907 at Wellsburg, Iowa. After farming in the Ackley area for four years, they came to their present farm in northwest Iowa, near Ellsworth.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Folkert, at home, and Ubbe, Adrian, and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, two sisters and one grandson.
