Holly Grove Cemetery List

Singer
Listing Compiled by Roberta B. Doty and Evelyn E. Cole February 12, 1993
Located in Singer, this is a very small cemetery surrounded by woods and enclosed by an old-time post-and-wire fence. There is a tiny country church on the site. It is located just off Newlin Cemetery Road to the north, on the west side of the railroad tracks. You can hear the lonesome whistle of a train at times. There are many unmarked graves and sign of several "lost" graves. Many of the tombstones are home-made and can no longer be read. Several of the graves have had flowers and/or shrubs planted---locust trees, lillies, bridal wreath, etc.
This could be a very picturesque cemetery with a tiny bit of maintenance.
